Working towards a barrier free future.
Our outdoor theatre is an interim venue as we plan for the new facility in the near future. We have an accessible seating area that is reached through crossing over a compressed gravel walkway. Our washroom facilities include an accessible portapotty. Each year we further reduce barriers to accessing our work as we strive to make our productions available to all.
Relaxed Performances
Relaxed performances aim to create an accessible environment to welcome theatregoers with varying needs. During our relaxed performances, audience members are welcome to stand up, move, and exit/return to the theatre as needed.
Before the relaxed performances begin, the actors will come out and introduce themselves, weapons/combat (if any) will be shown and explained, sound/noise levels will be reduced throughout the performance.
ASL Performances
We are thrilled to work with Triangular Communications who will provide ASL Interpretation for multiple performances of our hit show, High Steel this summer.
Further, we are honoured to have their support for the first time ever with our signature event, Shakespeare in the Garden, at the MUN Botanical Garden!

Don’t forget your rain jacket, hat, sunscreen and bug spray! We also encourage people to bring any pillows and blankets with them if they’d like to bundle up and stay comfy on our wooden bench seating.
