Casting call 2026

Perchance Theatre is holding auditions for their upcoming season!

We are looking for actors who are excited to spend their summer months performing great plays in the great outdoors.

Located in beautiful Conception Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, (40 minutes from St. John’s), Perchance Theatre is an outdoor theatre known for their innovative productions of classical and Newfoundland plays.

The productions, as well as the space, are physically demanding with sword fighting, physical comedy sequences and generally rushing about on multiple levels of our outdoor stage. It can be hot, it can be cold, but there will almost always be flies. We also have a lot of fun, with a bbq on site and swimming hole nearby.

Fast facts about the season include:

We are casting for three shows.
Some roles have been filled.
The season starts in mid to late June and is an 11-week contract.
Remuneration range is derived from the CAEA DOT Tier 1.
Transportation is the responsibility of the employee.

If you are interested in auditioning for the upcoming season, send a video audition to [email protected] by 6pm on Sunday, April 19th. A google drive link or Wetransfer are preferred. Please also include a headshot and resume in your email.

For your Audition:

Introduce yourself: Your name, where you live, a little about yourself as an actor

2 monologues: at least 1 from a Shakespeare/classical play (each piece should be 2 minutes or less)

Additionally: showcase yourself playing an instrument or singing a song. (1 minute max)

Callbacks will be held on in a mix of in person and zoom with the season’s directors on April 27^th.
