We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and guest-focused individual to lead our Front of House team for the upcoming season.

Salary

$1100-1200/week depending on experience

Duration

Seasonal/Full-Time Early June-end of August 2025

Position Overview:

 

  • As the Front of House Manager, you will be the welcoming face of Perchance Theatre, ensuring that every patron’s experience—from arrival to final curtain—is smooth, safe, and memorable. You will oversee all front of house operations, including audience services, volunteer coordination, health and safety protocols, and the overall ambience of the guest experience.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Audience Experience: Create a warm, inviting, and professional environment for all guests, ensuring exceptional customer service at every performance.
  •  Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a team of front of house staff and volunteers.
  • Operations: Oversee all front of house logistics, including ticketing, seating, concessions, accessibility, signage, and pre-show/post show procedures.
  •  Safety and Accessibility: Ensure that the theatre grounds meet safety and accessibility standards; manage emergency protocols and respond effectively to incidents.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the production team, box office, and artistic staff to ensure seamless coordination between front of house and backstage operations.
  • Ambience and Presentation: Maintain the aesthetic and welcoming atmosphere of the theatre space, from signage to seating to visitor amenities.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on audience feedback, ticket trends, and FOH performance; suggest and implement improvements.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience in theatre front of house management or customer service leadership
  • Experience with POS systems as well as merchandize and refreshment tracking
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Calm under pressure with a solution-oriented approach
  • Passion for live theatre and the arts
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors in variable weather
  • First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain) is an asse
